Audio video cords

We purchased a 2021 keystone springdale 29ft. The TV and stereo are both Jensen brand. There is a set of audio video cords the red yellow and white coming out of the wall to connect to the TV. I cannot figure out where the cords come from/what they connect to?

They should connect to the tv. The yellow is video and the other 2 are audio.

They should be connected to the radio 1 end and then plug into the TV at the back of the TV, unless the radio and TV are connected by an HDMI cable.

Pull the radio and note what outputs each color is connected to. Go to the back of the TV and connect. Yellow is usually the video, the red and white are left and right audio. Out from the TV is in on the receiver.

But as Chuckster mentioned, those Red, White, and Yellow RCA jacks won't be used if the radio and TV are connected via an HDMI cable.

Our old Jayco was like that. The RCA plugs were just laying on the shelf next to the TV, but were not actually used since an HDMI cable was used.
One HDMI cable will perform the same function as those older separate RCA cables.

You are right but there was no mention of an HDMI?

I too have yellow, red, white (RCA) cable jacks that seemingly go nowhere in my Keystone. I can't imagine using anything with RCA cables, since it's 2022 and not 2002, so I'm not worried about it. They definitely don't go to my TV though. In fact, maybe I'll go yank them out tomorrow and see what else I might put there instead.

If you will take time to use the model number of the TV and the stereo and look on Jensen website I am sure they have the manuals for both items available

This will clearly show you how to connect the TV and stereo units..

HDMI is all that should be needed

Just taking a guess here. I'd guess the A/V cables came with the radio and the installer at Keystone ran them alongside the HDMI cable incase you want to connect your 1980's VHS tape player.

I would say that is a pretty good guess!

For those saying those cable disappear and they don't know where they go.
The other end of those cable are connected to the back of the radio.

Most (but not all) TV's have done away with those typed of connections.
But quite a few radio head units still have them, along with an HDMI port.

My 20 MHC had no HDMI port on the receiver (Furrion) nor has any other trailer I've owned. Remember they don't put top of the line audio/video equipment in RVs and particularly not in models that aren't the "premium" lines. OP has not said what model Jensen they have but here is a link to a current Jensen that can be purchased for a replacement; note there are no HDMI ports -

https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Stereos/...4aAsoxEALw_wcB

I would also note that although I now have several HDMI cables connecting equipment there were none from the factory, only A/V cables. Those are unused along with the Furrion receiver.

Can't speak to the Furrion but most of the Jensen RV stereos have HDMI connections. Some have front panel pass thru HDMI ports as well.

Hopefully the OP will post back with the model. The Jensens I've owned did not have the HDMI port. They make a couple of models with it (one double DIN, one single) but without knowing what the OP has we're just guessing. If it does have the HDMI he should have it made.

We have a 2017 Springdale. We have hdmi from the radio to the TV, and then AV from the DVD player to the TV. DVD coming in real handy right now since we are in a tornado watch and the cable and firestick aren't showing anything due to the weather. Thankfully I remembered to pull in the awning.

The lines are to feed audio from the radio/DVD player to the auxiliary input of the television A/V auxiliary inputs, or to feed audio (Red = Right, White = left) from the television A/V out to the auxiliary input of the campers radio/stereo so you can pump tv sound through your campers sound system. You may have to pull the stereo forward to see if the cables are attached to the input or output channels. Low-level audio lines do not carry any dangerous voltages.

If your devices have HDMI ARC ports, by all means use those to connect your Jenson/Furrion stereo/DVD player to your television. This will allow the DVD player to send video and audio to the television using the television speakers or sound bar, or it will allow you to send video to the television and play audio over the ceiling speakers. It will also allow the television to send audio to the stereo to play over the ceiling speakers. I also connect my phone to an HDMI port on the television (to stream) and play the audio over the ceiling speakers.
