We always have a set of camper keys in the truck and if I lock my truck keys in the truck, which I've done, I have an unchipped key wired under the truck in a hidden location. As for the good old "hide a spare magnetic key holder", they must be really popular. I've found about 8 of them on the road over the years, with the "hidden" key still in them. One bump and they're gone off the vehicle!

If you purchase an RVLock on sale, make sure it I the one with a Lion’s head imprinted on it. I purchase one on big sale on FB and it came in clean, no Lion’s head. Nothing but trough and only worked a couple days. Attempted to return and there was no answer on the phone. I finally ordered from RVLock and have been very happy with it.

Guess we've been lucky, haven't lost one yet. Maybe add some epoxy to be safe?

Ours is in an unlocked storage compartment on the trailer. If it did happen to "bump loose" it would still be in that compartment. But, in 30 years of using a magnetic key holder, I've never found it to "bump loose". Maybe the older ones had "merican magnets" and the new ones have "china knockoffs"...
