Interior lights not working unless on shore power
Hey guys,
Just picked up a 2006 Raptor 3612. Trailer is in great shape for its age. Noticed that my lights do not work unless I am hooked up to shore power or have the generator running. The front jacks work as do the slide outs on just battery power with no generator running or shore power so i know the batteries are good. I’ve gone thru and looked at fuses and breakers and none of them are burnt out, wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Thinking converter possibly?? I checked fuses on it too and they are okay and I can hear a slight humming coming from the converter when plugged in to shore power. Any help is appreciated.

I did try looking for a battery disconnect in all the compartments but didn’t find one. Not sure if these were a thing back in ‘06

I was going to say battery disconnect, but Hank beat me to it. Most toy haulers came standard with it. Some were on the front of the frame, some were inside by the breaker panel.

That is possible but one may have been installed by a previous owner.

My Sunnybrook trailer had the battery disconnect inside the bed platform. Since the little 23' bumper pull had very little storage, I used the space under the bed platform to stack cases of soda pop and water, etc. and noticed it right away.

Your slides and jacks are most likely direct wired. As everyone else has said, sounds like a battery disconnect somewhere. What about other 12v systems, fridge, furnace, vent fans, water pump. Those would also be after a battery disconnect. As was mentioned, toy haulers can be in a couple different spots, pass through, front frame area, near breaker panel possible a previous owner also installed one somewhere, but owner installed are typically at the battery itself and cut off everything.
