I seen one a couple weeks ago out several inches. It was headed for a two lane curvy highway. With as many people who do not use mirrors it makes me wonder if they don't know or don't care. Than there is another bunch who cannot or will not read a manual of fix anything.

Winter before last at our normal place in FL a couple of guys were trying to hook up their trailer to leave and struggling trying to get the slide in. Observing them it was obvious my help would not be wanted so they proceeded to drop it on the truck (no wdh - 1/2 ton) and start to go. I decided to talk to them so walked over and asked if they knew the slide was still out; "yeah, it won't come in. It'll be OK next campground is only about 50 miles"......OK...good luck. This was on narrow 2 land FL panhandle roads.

I’m sure folks like this make any number of bad decisions on a daily basis.

The sad thing is when innocent people get caught up in the equation.

Jasin, someone's been hangin' on Reddit! (One of my favorite go-to's for a little laugh)
It may very well be that it came out and the driver simply doesn't know. Stranger things have happened.

If he's towing with a YUGO or a Fiat 500, the side mirrors don't extend far enough to see the trailer sides, so the driver wouldn't know that the slide is out.... Heck, isn't that why vehicles have horns and windows??? So we can get the driver's attention, roll down the window and wave our arms, pointing toward the trailer????

No need to worry about it unless someone is waving their arms and blowing their horn......
