Just FYI!
That 281BHS is over 32' long weighing at right at 10k lbs. The "28" in that model number is not the length, just a model number.
Hopefully you've done careful calculations or had it across a set of scales as that seems to be a lot of rv for a 1/2 ton hybrid.

I did my homework.. its 32' bow to stern.. sail portion is 28'.. I

Actually its no where near that weight.. I also measured it. I will Cat it too for safety.

Keep in mind.. Im not doing long haul.. setting it up at 3 different camp sites over the summer all in the same state.. did the homework.. also not new to towing a travel trailer..
cheers

Couple things... ok, you did your homework. What is your truck's payload? Yellow placard in driver door frame? Second, LRC tires may not be a great idea with that much weight on them. Have you considered LRE?

Sounds familiar. We've seen many, many folks state that "they've done their homework" and find out later that they were using numbers from advertisments, usesless "max towing numbers" or unrealistic manufacturers pin or tongue weights. Apparently you have all your answers, seen that before to. Good luck and travel safe.

Didn't intend to strike a nerve!
I do hope that you are towing from bow to stern, the entire 32', & not just the 28' sail.
Just trying to inform for the safety of you, yours & mine that may be on the highway at the same time.
Good luck! Safe travels!

Looks like OP posted the certification label from the trailer. GVWR is actually 7590.

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

All I can offer is replace tires with Carlisle Radial Trail HD LRD (You won't find LRE's in a 14" wheel size and if you could, it would be serious overkill)
Truck tires should be LT tires and at max PSI while towing
Might have to stiffen rear end suspension, albeit with a set of air bags, Bilstein shocks, and a kick *** WDH

Most here have been in that seat.

Good luck and be safe

Another Michigander welcome! Note that even with a new trailer it is critical to check all the roof seams every 90 days, or as indicated in your trailer's manual. Don't ask why I stress this...

Greetings Mike. Welcome to the forum. Don't get concerned with the weight freaks on here. That's just their usual "schtick" that they give to everybody. There's a lot of technical talent on here that can be really helpful went something doesn't work for you in your rig.
