Fridge

Running fridge on inverter while traveling?
Do you just hit electric instead of propane?
Thanks

If you have a gas/electric fridge do you have an inverter?

They change these appliances so often it's difficult to keep up...

It'll help if you give more information, such as year and model number of the trailer and brand of fridge.

Most of us who have the gas/electric fridges use propane while traveling and switch to electric when in a campsite with electric.

Now that they're putting residential fridges in the trailers, they are also including the inverter. Running the fridge on the inverter while traveling is not a problem if your charging line is active from the tow vehicle.

Your model of Alpine shows a gas/electric fridge standard and a residential as optional. Which do you have? If you have the gas/electric you don't need an inverter. If you have the optional residential (which it sounds like you don't) you would have an inverter already.

Simply run it on propane and rock and roll. Almost all on this site who are experienced run that way. Do a search on this site and read up a little. It'll help you.
