Holding tank question

We're full time RVers and own a brand new Keystone Avalanche. I typically leave the 2 grey water valves open and empty the Black every 3 days or so. I've noticed that Grey water 2 fills as the Black tank fills and wonder if this isn't something to do with the tank gauges being wired incorrectly or what? When I drain the Black, all tanks show empty. Any thoughts?

I don't know your trailer but to get contextual responses to your question, go to the UserCP and add a signature with year, make and model of your camper and tow vehicle. In any case, I have 3 dump valves; one for the galley tank, one for the other gray tank and one for my black tank. My shower fills into the black tank rather than the gray tank for some reason. I think it was easier to plumb in this manner. I use a Valterra T58 waste valve on my single outlet and keep all the valves open when camping. I open the T58 to dump all three at the same time. We used to open the galley gray tank as you have to crawl up under the slide behind the driver side rear wheel on my camper to open it and it is a true pain in the tail. The other two valves would be shut. Last year we were camping our fifth wheel filled with gnats coming up through the kitchen sink. Won't do that anymore and bought the T58 and that solved my problems. One trip under the camper to open the galley tank and then put the slide out and open the other valves at the same time. Since our shower dumps into the black tank we don't usually get three days before needing to dump.

I usually kept the bath grey valve open due the shower & washing machine drained into it otherwise I'd be draining it every other day.
The galley I kept closed with deodorizer in it as most times it smelled worse than the black tank, I guess due to the small amount of food particles rinsed into it.
I also never paid any attention to any of the sensors as they were so inaccurate that they were of NO useful information as far as tank levels, pretty little red lights though. The sound/burping while flushing the toilet when the black was nearing full was more accurate than the sensors. The galley tank would last longer than the black before dumping so it wasn't of concern & if the bath valve was closed you could bet money about the time the DW or I got all soaped up it would back up into the shower, definitely more accurate than the sensor.
