Ask to see the response from Keystone... Dealerships are extremely busy this time of year, add the limited workforce due to the COVID business restrictions and sheer number of trailers being sold and it's no surprise that dealerships are focused on "making money from paying customers rather than losing money on warranty repairs"....
My guess is that if your dealership is "typical" then they have never reported the issue to Keystone, rather they've "made a note of it in your dealership folder with the fervent hope that you don't return"..... It should also be "no surprise" that Keystone is also extremely busy and having a "final response" from Keystone on an issue turned into the dealer on September 11 seems "far too fast for the way Keystone processes warranty repair authorizations" ...
I'm not suggesting that your dealership did not report the problem to Keystone, rather suggesting that it's in your best interest to "KNOW" what the dealership sent to Keystone and what Keystone said in their response.... My guess: It was never "formally reported to Keystone as a warranty defect"....
I'll readily admit that I could be wrong and your dealership did "exactly what they told you"... but on the other hand, shuffling you in and out as fast as possible means more profit for the service department.......
It's in your interest to "KNOW" exactly what transpired....
If the dealership refuses to show you their warranty submission request, you can always contact Keystone and discuss the submission with them. You'll need your VIN if you call Keystone.
