Lippert 3.0 leveling system

This spring going to put new tires on the 5th wheel and want to know can I use the 3.0 leveling system to raise the tires off the ground for half a day. I'm going to do bearings also. Thanks for any help. DDG

You sure can. Lippert advises the use of jack stands for safety reasons. We have left units in the air for a couple of days without any issue.

If I remember right, Lippert wants them under the frame. We have a bunch of tall 12Ton jack stands, maybe some 2X4 wood cribbing would be cheaper.

Had mine sitting about 4-5 days while I tried to get the toe in right that didn't get set from some shop in Elkhart. But they bought me a new set of tires anyway.

When I replaced my 4 tires after sitting unused for over 3 years while overseas I had the tire dealer raise the tire off the ground with their jacks..... You may find the Lippert warnings, etrailer remarks and rv'er forum remarks in the following links useful:

Seems like the hydraulic ones can loose pressure. Not sure if the 3.0 can slip a gear, if that is how they work...
