Warrenty Claims W-9
The touch panel on my 327res needed replaced. Since I was going to be traveling soon and could not schedule it with my dealer I bought the parts and had another dealer replace it later. The dealer filed for the labor and I filed for the parts all authorized by Keystone prior to the service. After 2 months and nothing from Keystone I called them and they said " Oh we need a w-9 before we pay warranty claims." A w-9 is for services or labor provided. It means they will file the w-9 with the IRS and I will have to include it with earned income even though it was suppose to be for reimbursement. They said " we do the w-9 now so we can keep track of the warranty claims".
