Just Purchased Passport 2920BH

Just upgraded from a hybrid trailer to a 2920BH. Picking it up today and taking it camping this weekend. Can't wait to get the new toy!

Hey Quaram, any issues so far...I had one...the black flush tank valve was loose inside and leaked water in the bathroom. I had to go under the bathroom sink and tighten it down. Now it is fine. When you hook up the flush tank hose..make sure not to twist the connector on the camper too much as it loosens the inside.

Picked it up a towed it home yesterday. I also purchased an E4 WDH. It's amazing how it handles the load. No compression on the rear of the truck. I even saw a little with my 20' hybrid. The truck handled the load well on the way home as well. Bought a new queen size mattress from a discount mattress store. The one in the unit is horrendous. One nice thing about the Passports are that they have a standard instead of a short queen. My feet hung off the end on the short queens. I'm not sure why RV manufacturers do that to save 6". I will gladly give that up for a longer bed. So far I'm impressed with the workmanship. It's night and day from my KZ. The only issues so far are some de-lamination on the outside storage doors (the dealer is getting us new doors) and the plastic slide on the screen door is a bit buggered up. We'll see what we find on our first trip. Heading out tomorrow and back on Tuesday.

Make a note right away not to cook in the kitchen until you vent the stove to the outside. This was my biggest pet peave with the camper..other than that we love it so far. I cut the hole myself and the back of the vent on the range hood has a cut out made for it. I have NO IDEA why keystone cut this corner. We tried cooking in it and the smoke alarm went off right away.

I also put a fantastic fan in the vent above the living area and kitchen..does its job of pulling in air..but did not help with the indoor cooking.

Heck we didn't even notice the non vented hood until we got it home..just not somthing you think of!

The hood vent is about $25 bucks and maybe 2 hours of you time to install..there are plenty of good posts on here with step by steps on how to do it.

The only issues I've had was a recall on the stabilizer jacks(or bolts which attach to the frame). I lost one on the way home from the dealer and the other rear jack rusted quite quickly. replaced both. I shortened the vent hose for the water fill. Was too long and didn't allow air to escape when filling, and the 2 sliding counters in the outside kitchen. The particle board was separating at the kerf cut for the vinyl edge trim.

I had an issue with cracking plastic trim this last winter. It was -20 below regularly this last winter. Both fender skirts and the plastic trim around the skylight in the shower cracked. was all replaced under warranty.

The fact that the vent hood doesn't vent to the outside doesn't effect us much, as we haven't even used the interior stove or oven yet. We do all cooking outside either on the outside kitchen or the fire. If/when we do start using the inside stove, I'm sure I'll install a vent to the exterior.

I recently put on Maxaire II vent hoods over the roof vents. very easy and worth while addition.

I agree...max air vents are a must...never have to worry if the vent was left open and you get air while it is raining.

We do most cooking outside as well..but we had a downpour for a trip that lasted through the morning and we wanted to cook omelets...tries inside before I vented the hood...and what a mess! Fire alarm..smell..smoke...

The mod now makes that worry go away...don't use it much..but at least the option is there now..before the mod it pretty much made the stove inside unusable.

Vent covers are nice. They keep the sun from baking the cheap factory lids. I put a max air in the vent in the bedroom, 10 speed reversible. Gonna put another one in the rear (family room) for even more airflow. I like them better than the fantastic fan as they have more speeds and don't require a vent cover to be open in wet weather.

Good luck on the Passport. We bought our 2920 this year and used it twice this year and getting ready to road trip it all the way to KC this Monday.

Almost done with our first trip in the Passport and we love it! It suits all of our needs. I really don't want to head home yet.

I also didn't notice that the stove hood did not vent to the outside. We looked at so many trailers before picking this one that did vent that I overlooked it. I would have bought it anyway but it will need to be fixed. We almost never cook inside but some day we will need to. Installing the vent has me a bit nervous though. I'm pretty handy but I'm worried about cutting into the side of my brand new trailer. I'll have to research this well.

There are some other minor mods like installing cabinet doors to access the storage under the dinette seats but not much else.

If you go straight back from the cutout in the back of the range hood you will go right between the framing. It is almost as if it was suppose to be done and forgot. There is no excuse for any trailer to not have this. Can't figure out why they would cut this corner.
