Mystery Hoses

I found two clear hoses with white end caps under the front passenger side of my '02 Sprinter....I bought the TT used and it has sat for 5+ years...the liquid that came out was green....are these the drains for the freshwater tank? If so they are a long way from the fresh water tank....thanks for your input

Those are low point drains for the water lines. You might also have a single one under the fresh water tank. Clean the water system out unless you want to drink the green stuff.

As Ken has suggested, fill your FW tank with clean water and add a cup of bleach to the tank. Let it sit overnight and the next day, turn your water pump on and run some "water" through your entire system. Open all of the faucets. Open the two drains as well as the drain on the FW tank. Let all the "bleachy water" go through the lines. Repeat this process as it seems like your water system has algae - and probably some other "stuff" as well.

Your HW tank should also be flushed and sanitized while you are at it.

The green stuff might be Lime Kool Aid...quite possibly the best kool aid flavor there is. If it were me I'd fill a glass and do a taste test.....YUCK!!!! My wife wouldn't be happy with sanitizing the system, she'd have me under there replacing the tank and all of the lines. In my case, it'd be time for a new RV.

I will also open those lines up with the faucets open to drain the water after a camping trip if its going to be more than 2 weeks till the next trip. Definitely will be no green water for the next trip. And as mentioned using while sanitizing.
