Winterization...what am I missing???

We bought a 2019 27SAB Cougar in February. This is our second RV. Our first had a bypass to winterize so one did not fill the fresh water tank with the pink stuff. it was a little valve you turned. Then you hooked up hose to the valve and it sucked in the pink stuff out of the bottle. I don't see anything like that on the new rig. We do have a hot water heater bypass.
The rig came winterized. How did they get the pink stuff in without some sort of bypass valve for the fresh tank?
I know I can put one in, but I am wondering if I am missing something here?
Thank you!

Not familiar with your rig but many units come with HWT bypass valve and an alternate suction for winterizing. A picture of your bay will help others assist our in figuring it out.

I think when they winterize at the dealer they can put the antifreeze straight into the city water connection.

You'll probably want to get a winterizing kit that adds the valve and hose to the pump suction so you can do it without having to dump the antifreeze into the tank.

Ok so my control panel outside does not have any sort of winterization port. Here are some pics of the pump. I could not see a place for alternate suction but I don’t know what I am looking for either.

So assuming you do not have anything like this, and your pump is easy to access. You will have to: A) remove suction line from your pump and install a suction line to drop into antifreeze container. Or: B) add a bypass valve kit and alternate suction line for antifreeze.

Thank you so much for your response. I will have to add the valve and hose. The suction hose is too short to reach the jug of pink. An no unfortunately no winterize inlet on my control panel.

It's an easy thing to do with the exception of having to "uncover" the water pump every time you winterize. As Brent said, you just disconnect the existing inlet line and put a length of tubing on the inlet port, put the other end in the anti freeze and pump it in. On the other hand, adding the bypass valve is the way to go. When it comes time to winterize you still have to uncover the water pump to turn the valve to switch from tank water to the anti freeze hose.

Thank you all for the responses. I am going to add the bypass valve. That will make it simple to use every fall. I kind of figured that was the case, but our last camper came with the valve already and I wanted to be sure I hadn't missed some sort of built in valve.
