Sluggish slides: Dry lube?

Our slides are on the sluggish side and I’m wondering if it has to do with the mild corrosion I see on the exposed slide rails when extended. This is a 16 year old coach that spent most of its time in one shaded spot, I assume with slides extended so the rails were exposed to the elements. Should I lube them, or will that just attract dirt? Would spraying dry silicone lube all over them be a good idea?

The dry lube won't attract dirt. Almost any brand is good. I use one that claims to contain Teflon.

Lippert recommends this product. I use it on the slide cylinder pistons, leveling system pistons and slide gears.

"WD40 Specialist with PTFE Dry Lube that doesn't attract dirt". Yeah, that's what is written on the can.
Available at my WalMart. Not in the auto dept., but in the tool aisle. That's WalMart. Might be in the produce dept. next week.

I use that too - purchased in the "RV" section in WalMart.
