Unhappy Furrion TV Screen Stripe

Brought the RV home for some TLC before our first trip of the year. Turned on the 50" Furrion TV and there was a stripe across the top of the screen, about 2 inches from the top. Turned it off and back on again but its still there.

Kinda bummed. It is about 16 months old. (Came with the RV). Anyone have similar experience or know if it is fixable? It is a multi colored stripe.

Check the warranty, I’m thinking it will need to be replaced. Contact Furrion not Keystone.

Had a large flat screen years ago that did that. Would have cost more to have it fixed than to purchase a new one.

WalMart has a Septre 50" for $189 (probably equal quality to the Furrion) and a number of name brand, quality TV's for under $400.

Did you by chance, turn the TV on while it was cold inside the trailer? If you didn't let the trailer interior "warm up slowly" there may have been some condensation inside the TV and when you powered it up, "POOF" all the magic smoke escaped..…

A quick caution for everyone else, if you stored your RV over the winter with the TV inside it and the temps fell below freezing, let your TV warm up slowly before you apply power to the television. Otherwise, you may encounter an "internal failure".

I put a big vertical line on a 50" when I pulled the slide in and it just grazed the tv. There are Youtube videos online that explain how to "fix" this issue; I just replaced the TV.

Had this happen with a 55" Samsung TV I bought at Costco except the line was on the bottom. I bought the extended warranty so it was covered. I still have that TV. I use it in my den.

Had a older samsung and a vizio do the same thing. Take the back off and see if the wire that looks like a piece of duct tape is loose. Vizio has a way to reset their tv by holding the power button for 10 or 30 seconds. Check their website. Not sure is furrion has the same function. If neither works, and not under warrenty.....costco has great deals on tv's. Got a 50" samsung 4K for under $300.
