Paint match

Haven’t been on here for awhile. I recently bought a new Lippert slide awning for my 2016 Cougar Xlite 28RLS and it only was available in white or black. I would like to paint the hardware that mounts on the slide to match the tan trailer color. Does anyone know if paint is available from Keystone to match?

Paint is not available from Keystone, and the factory doesn't sell anything to customers. Everything must go through a dealership or an authorized parts outlet.

You can possibly get the paint code from Keystone's customer service and buy the paint at a local automotive store. Alternatively, you can take a "sample" of the color you want to match and they can use their computer "color matcher" to get close enough most people would never see a difference.

Thanks. That’s kind of what I thought. I’ll try the color match idea.

My line of work is color matching, makes me wonder, if there are Mobil RV Tech Guys, is there a market for Mobil RV paint guys, especially if the full body paint idea becomes popular....

My experience in getting paint codes from Keystone has not been good. I have received some codes but none were identifiable by Sherwin Williams auto paint division which Keystone says supplies the paint.

The rv paint is Sikkens brand not Sherwin Williams, Precision Painting in the Elkhart Indiana area does most of the painting on rvs.
