Crown Batteries

When converting to 6 volt golf cart batteries wired in a series the Trojan T105 seems to be a popular choice. The local battery specialist store can get me the Trojans but recommended the Crown brand due to thicker plates and over all construction. The local chain store sells Duracell branded 6 volts. I have never heard of the Crown brand, Any thoughts?

No personnal experience, other than I have looked into them as well. I'm sure others will chime in soon...

No idea whether Crown batteries are worth it or not.... I bought Duracell 6 volt GC2 batteries from Sam's 6 years ago. They're still going strong and were $80 each when I bought them, I think they're $89 now. When I need replacements, I'll probably buy Duracell again based on their performance. That's not to say Crown, Trojan, Interstate or any other brand is "as good as" or "not as good as". Just that Duracell has been reliable and I'm satisfied.

Discaimer: I don't have any experience using golf cart batteries, but I've been researching for the next time I have to replace my batteries.

The specifications, particularly the number of 50% DOD (depth of dischage) cycles, would support their claim. 450, or more than 50%, more cycles, assuming their specs are accurate.
