I've still got a cube-shaped plastic Thetford portable loo from tent camping days (now that's a far piece back!) so to be safe I'll bungee cord it to the rear bumper in case the trailer honey pot gets full and my sensors don't warn me. There's my backup in case things get backed up!

We put a man on the moon almost 50 years ago but can't build a reliable rv toilet system?

We have a reliable toilet system. We KNOW the sensors won't work..... That's nearly 100% reliability. Maybe not what you're looking for, but reliable....

Well don't worry about the black tank sensors too much, nice when they are working, but it seems that as we use our rig, the grey tank fills before the black, and we use that as a gauge.
I have in the past got it to work for a short time, didn't drain the black after a trip, but added 1/4 box of Rid-X, and lest set for a month, then drained and flushed once and sensors worked fine once!
