Pesky Access Panels

As with everyone else, I have screws on the panel that give me access to the the water heater bypass valve. I thought about adding a knob and some magnetic fasteners to hold it in place and ditch the screws. The screws and the holes they go into just aren’t going to last. Has anyone changed this and if so, do you mind telling or showing me what you have done? There has to be a more practical way to do it.

Good ideas! I will add this to my to-do list for the trailer!
