New guy in Northern CA

We just sold our 2000 KZ 2505 bunkhouse and today purchased an 01 Sprinter 24 RK 5th wheel. My wife loved the floor plan and other than some wrinkles in the front/rear laminate, its in great condition. A dealer had it and we offered 2K under asking price and it was ours! Tow vehicle is an 01 Duramax that I did head gaskets/injectors/water pump/CP3/large trans cooler on a few years ago. I also had Mike L down at Inglewood Trans near Disneyland build a 500hp capable trans for me. I've added a towing tune and it amazes me that a lifted CC LB 2wd truck at 68-70 mph can get an honest 22 mpg!

I'm hoping to hear from others with similar units on mods they have done to make their rigs more user friendly. We only do a few short trips a year in the northern CA area as work schedule keeps us tied down!

to the forum. Congrats on the new travel trailer. There is a section on mods, and I know there are some on 5'ers, not sure what models but most are good for any model. Make yourself at home. Got more questions just ask, if you got tips share. Happy Camping and safe travels.
