failed water pump check valve solution

Our water pump check valve stuck and allowed our house tank to receive water. We are stationary and never plan to go on the road boon docking. Is there a way to bypass our faulty pump rather than replace it (again)? Our Keystone Alpine 2013 has a "winterize" valve that seems to stop water from getting to the tank when left in the horizontal on position. It appears this solved our problem but am I missing some other consequence by doing that?

YES..Simply install a brass one way check valve on the output side of the water pump..make sure the arrow on the check valve points toward direct if water flow out of the pump.

Also.since this is a 2013 if you have nit replaced the original 4 way plastic Kantleak valve with the new 3 way valve you are way overdue.. you cannot get replacement cartridge parts for the old valve assy

Thank you for replying but I am unclear if you think there may be a consequence for the solution that we used the "winterize" valve to stop water from entering the house tank.

The winterizing valve diverts the pump suction line from the tank to the hose that you put in the antifreeze jug. By using the bypass valve you are diverting the water to wherever the hose is pointed.
