Add Quick Connect to rear of TT

I have a 2016 Keystone Hideout 272lhs and would like to add a gas quick connect to the rear of the TT to run my camp stove.

I see the black pipe running to the rear of the TT and ends where the fridge connects to the black pipe. Thinking I could add a 'T' connector there and run one side to the fridge and the other to a quick connect with shutoff.

Anyone done this or is their a better/easier way? Anyone found a good kit to use?

I understand I will need to remove the regulator from my camp stove as the gas will already be low pressure from the TT regulator.

Thanks!

When I was in sales, we added many disconnects to trailers the way you describe. Shouldn’t be an issue.

Adding a Tee is simple and you can get all the needed parts at your local big box hardware store. Make sure you us LP quick connect not regular air. Seal the threads with LP rated sealant and test all fittings when done.

Another easy mod with everyone’s help.
Put a T off the refrigerator black pipe and 90 degree to a quick connect.
Didn’t like how it was right behind the tire. Worried about road debris and chance of flat tire hitting it, so buddy of mine made a guard for it.
Love it and works great.

We did the same thing to our 3650RL. I put a tee in the line at the propane bottle compartment and then ran a propane hose through electric conduit screwed to the I-beam frame to support it to the other side. (curb side)
I bought hoses and made a tee so we can run our grill and flat top from the rv tank instead of toting around loose propane bottles. Works well. Click image for larger version
