Whats the term for the Bracket that holds the T-handle

I have a rear kitchen Everest and while emptying this morning, when trying to push the handle in for the Kitchen (Its located on the left rear of the trailer) the T-handle popped and is hanging down. I have not looked but Im assuming the bracket that holds it is broke and I did a internet search and cannot find it.

What is it called ?

On my Avalanche it's called a pine 1"x2" nailed to a 6" x 4" piece of 1/2" chipboard.

Are you describing the dump handle for either the black or gray tanks?

Yes its the Grey Valve for the Kitchen in the rear. The Bathroom and Black dump valves are in the side door, its just the kitchen one under the driver side rear of the trailer and about 2 feet from the back and set in on the frame (ts a bear to reach and pull)

Ill try to get a picture but when its down on the frame in the back and due to my knee and back conditions, its a bear to get to. I can pull it, but I was using a walking stick to push it in when it popped.

Seems to me the bracket may not be the issue but what looks like a cheapo plastic threaded tee handle end that broke off. Is that a soft rubber cover just behind the jam nut? If so, cut it, move the jam nut back and the see if behind the bracket is threaded and has a broken piece of plastic from the tee handle part. If so, remove and screw the tee hand in again and snug up the jam nut. The bracket itself is likely welded to the frame.

With physical limitations, this might be the perfect excuse to have that drain valve replaced with an electrically operated valve. Push a button to drain is a whole lot easier than crawling around.

It looks to me like it’s broke up inside the underbelly. Maybe a threaded shaft loosened up? If you zoom in it looks like a hole in the underbelly sealant where the threaded rod went up to the valve ? On second look it seems to be broke inside the steel tube
Guess you would have to find the other end of the tube and fit a new shaft on it and feed it through..maybe make it a little longer for easier reach

Don’t call a dealer, look for an independent repair shop. I’ve lost count of how many cable valves I’ve replaced, they just don’t want to bother with it.

I thought you needed one of these.

Valterra TX9HPB Waste Valve Extension Tube - 9" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KNB3RQK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_DWB1QD9BAPB7SC5V8K99?_enc oding=UTF8&psc=1

But it looks like you have a cable to the valve. You might do a Google search or find out how long you need it and go by a NAPA store and have them look at choke or hand throttle cables.

From your description of mobility issues and using a "walking stick" on it I'd suggest an electric valve. Not cheap but a good fix IMHO given the circumstances.

Got two helpers, its a bristol valve and I have one on order, will be here tomorrow so we going to replace it Saturday, they are doing a lot of it for me.

We found the where the Nuts screw on to is plastic and that broke. Yes its a cable valve.

PS: The local repair shop that was able to do it, said late June and $650 for labor and $86 for parts. I found the part local for $77. I could get it cheaper but it would cost a fortune for over night shipping.

Saved me a bundle.

Rick: On a different note.
I would be VERY careful with those wooden "blocks" under the stabilizers. If your camper is subjected to sudden high winds it may be blown off the blocks and cause a LOT of damage to the camper. I speak from own experience. It happened to us a few years back and the set up was much the same as your. Just want you to be safe.

Happy camping.

Instead of a "Tube", I purchased an Extension ROD Kit. In my humble opinion, the tube is much too fragile for an "extension". Have broken a couple of them on various TTs we have owned. Check this option:https://www.amazon.com/Valterra-T104...02N5J9HU&psc=1

New valve is installed, If I could get it farther out I would, but the extension rods I don think would work, its a cable operated one. With the bend restrictions Im not sure I could move the valve release out farther.

Found the Valve was stuck so when I pushed in, the plastic was brittle enough to break. So it needed changing.

My Black is not closing all the way, so I asked my helpers what they thought about changing it. They both said Live with it, not touching it .

Put one of these on the end and don’t worry about it. 😁
