28BHS Hideout (2013) - HVAC system

Can someone please explain to me the HVAC system in the 2013 Hideout 28BHS? This is what I gather.

Heating Function:
Furnace is located near the fridge with an air return with all ducting in the subfloor forcing air through vents in the floor. There are no sources of heat in the ceiling of the trailer (which makes sense since heat rises).

Air Conditioning:
Air conditioner located on the roof, air return located in ceiling of the unit, all vents are also in the ceiling. There is no ducting from this unit to the vents.

When the furnace is on does the Air conditioning unit stay on as well to help circulate and push the warm air down? (of course it is only on fan mode). I ask because I had the furnace on but I felt cool, not cold, air coming from the ceiling vents. I would have assumed that it would have been recirculated warm air, or is it bringing in a portion of fresh air?

Thanks for your help.

Dave

A little confusing in your description regarding the a/c ducting. If you have ceiling registers/diffusers then the a/c is ducted and should blow out of those registers. If your a/c unit has "dump" vents on it then they need to slid closed for more air to blow out of the ductwork.

If you have the thermostat that typically were installed in 2013 ...
The a/c and furnace are only connected by the thermostat. If the the fan switch is on then the a/c fan will run continuously. If the fan switch is auto then the a/c fan will only run when the a/c compressor is running. Turn the thermostat switch to heat for the furnace and cool for the a/c. Some folks will run the a/c fan while heating with the furnace but I don't as it just blows cold air until it heats up and I've not had an issue with the heat distribution.

Thank you for your response.

So it sounds like my fan must be in the "ON" position, how do I turn it to "AUTO"?

My thermostat is similar to the one in this video.

Thanks again.

Here's the owner's manual for your thermostat. The step by step procedure to adjust fan speed setting is clearly outlined in the manual.
