Slideout Hydraulic Pump
Does anyone know where the Slideout Hydraulic Pump is located on a 2017 Retreat 391 Loft? Pump will run but rooms will not slide out.
Thanks

Are you certain all the slides are hydraulic? If so then the easiest is to run it down by sound. Just listen for the direction it's coming from and maybe have someone help run it down.
Is this located on a permanent spot, or is there a chance you could see a spot where fluid might be leaking?

Yes, I believe they are. There are 3 slides and only one switch. All 3 normally move one at a time randomly when the switch is pressed. It is in a permanent location. I have looked underneath and don't see any fluid anywhere. I have not pulled down the covering underneath though.

Yup the slide outs are hydraulic.. you can have helper push slide out switch and listen outside.. the pump, reservoir and dual polarity solenoids will all be located usually in the battery compartment.. follow the sound of the hyd pump motor
Also you may have three manual valves that inadvertently got closed and if so the slide outs will not open or close...
Once located check the fluid tank and with all slides out the reservoir should still show at least 3 to 4 inches of fluid in the tank

I was taught to check fluid level with everything retracted.

YEs the correct way is with slides in and gear up (if hyd)... But with slides out and gear extended the reservoir should still have 3 to 4 inches of fluid in the reservoir...
If OP has issues and slides are OUT then a quick look see at the current fluid level will tell him if he has a problem; ie... NO fluid at all in reservoir means he has an external leak issue

Since OP indicated "slides are in" then fluid level in reservoir should be well over half to 3/4 full...
Also OP.. if the pump is running, fluid level is good and manual valves are open there is ONE.. and ONLY ONE HYDAC valve that can be manually opened with an allen wrench to allow fluid to flow...
Once slides are extended then close the screw on the end of the HYDAC valve to maintain pressure

Thanks for the great info. I have a feeling that the fluid level is low, however I don't have a battery compartment so not sure where the pump is. I think the pump must be under the covering somewhere underneath the floor. Just didn't want to start cutting randomly maybe I can follow the sound while someone else is pressing the switch.

Pretty sure the battery is under the frame in the front... most likely so is the hydraulic pump and reservoir..
