Jumped in with both feet...New Member Check In.

Six months ago I approved plans for a new house that my wife and I were going to build on some land we bought 15 years ago. We were going to buy a used RV to live on site, but I took my wife's willingness to live that way for a couple months as a clear sign that she would like to do it full time. With as much trepidation as I had the day I asked her to marry me, I asked her to buy a travel trailer and be on the road with me ( I travel 15-20 days a month for work). I was more than a little surprised when she said yes.

So I canceled the new house and we bought a 2014 36' Bullet Premier from the original owners. A little big for two of us and our little dog Chaser.... maybe, but the bunk house was a big hit with our nieces when we took them to Nebraska for the Solar Eclipse on our dry run.

I am pulling the beast with a 2001 Ford Excursion and have a Equalizer hitch to keep it on the road.

How far are we in? Well we gave away all of our furniture and about 80% of our other "Life's Treasures". Obviously we still have some items that are not good to drag along on the road so we have one storage unit we are leaving behind in Minnesota. Our house sold and closes on the 20th of October and then we are headed to San Antonio as our first stop in what I can only imagine is truly the "Good Life".

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer. I hope full timing is all you hope it to be, and, from my experience, 36' is NOT too big for a couple; especially if you are living in it every day....JMO, YMMV.

Hey hey....good for y'all!!! We did the same, selling our home, sharing with others the 95% of the "stuff" we had accumulated over the decades. We too have a small storage. We were a lil' nervous at first about fulltime RVing. Now after four plus years "on the road" we love this lifestyle! Stay in touch here on the forum!

Through me off at first where you were from as we have a Cottage Grove here in Oregon as well.
