2011 passport 290 BH roof damage

Hello all! New to the forum and to having a camper. We bought a 2011 passport 290 BH earlier this year and have been enjoying it.

On our latest trip this weekend I was pulling into a campground at night and hit a tree limb. This broke the A/C shroud, the dome skylight above the shower, and a roof vent of some sort.

I have found the parts online for the A/C housing and for the skylight. But I am needing some help identifying the roof vent part and where to find a replacement.

I will attach some pics. The roof vent is directly beside the broken skylight that is above the bath/shower. Please let me know if you can help me ID this part and where to find a new one.

Thank you in advance!!

If you measure the vent I think you will find that is pretty much a standard size. I've had 2 of mine replaced. I measured, called the dealership and put in.

Got it! Thanks Sourdough. I am not used to working through a dealer but I'm fine with that.

Probably a vent cap for a holding tank. Fairly common part and your local RV parts store should have them in stock. Easy to install, just carefully peel off the sealant, remove 3 screws. Put butyl tape on the bottom side (should be included with the new part) and screw back down. Don't forget to get some Dicor sealant to cover the screws.

Thanks for the install tip! Been reading up. Got the parts ordered tonight and should be here in 2-3 days. I own a painting business so i am familiar with scraping and caulking, but I know this is a bit different to work with. Hopefully everything will go smoothly. Always ready to watch a Youtube video before performing.

I really appreciate the input!

Good luck with the repairs. I have to admit I hadn't thought about low hanging tree limbs because most 5ers and class As are taller than my TT. I better start watching. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. Being new to towing myself that is a good reminder about taking proper steps to inspect an area before backing up. Sorry it happened to you though.
