Seasonal Camp Sites

My wife and I are looking into seasonal camp sites for next year. We like being able to have a site to get more use out of our camper, but also would like it not to be too permanent as two three times a year we take a few farther trips. The place we are looking at has a separate electric meter that we pay for. We'd only be staying 2 to 3 weekends a month. What would that normally cost for electric a month?

When we were seasonal our bill ran $20-30 but we are in New England were the cost is high. Also we were there every weekend from May to Oct. got to camp a lot when we were there. Now that the kids are grown we travel 3 of 4 weekends. Good luck.

I am in th same boat as you. We got a seasonal site this year where we are keeping the rv, but plan on making one oor two trips. We pay electric at the rate of 20 cents per kwh. TTH campground owns the meter and first bill is mid July so I have no idea on cost yet. It all depends on amount of AC use, which we keep to a min. The only thing running 24/7 is the converter and two refrigerators. I guess we will see.
We love the seasonal thing as we can come and go as we please which allows more use of the rv considering all of the sports commitments we have with the kids this year.

The spot we are looking at is in Kentucky about 45 mins from our house. We can be camp from April 1st to November 1st and then from November 1st to April 1st it can't be camped in but can stay on the camp in storage. It's the same electric provider as the one at ours house. So I'm guessing I wouldn't have to pay a deposit. I'm guessing for 2-3 weekends a month for the a/c running and other then those weekends it would just be the converter and fridge running. I can't see more then $20-$30 a month. We pay the power supplier directly at this site.

We have a seasonal site close to the mountains in NC. We are there every weekend and also run the air at 86 while we are not there. And out power bills runs close to 40 a month not too bad.

Electric cost

I'd guess $20-$25 per month assuming you do not leave anything on except maybe the fridge on during the week. I'm also assuming the campground does not add a meter reading fee, etc.
