Slide out not working
Hey everyone, got a issue with my slide. Ok, went camping fri. came home today sat. due to propane line leak and sulphur smell in water lines, another thread for later. Ok, slide worked fine setting up and hooking up. Got home and it wouldn't budge, no sound at all. Any Help with this would be greatly appreciated. Got my neighbor to check electrical connections, motor is getting juice, but from motor to switch no juice.

Check for a blown fuse. Generally, when something stops working without any prolonged "issues" it's a simple fix. Best guess is either a fuse in the fuse panel or in the line from the motor to the switch.

You may have already done this but we had a similar situation happen just a few months ago while heading up to Big Sur, CA.
Anyhow, after a long bumpy ride, we pulled into our spot and the slide would not budge, make a noise, or anything. I checked the fuses and everything was all good. While looking further, I noticed that to the right of the fuses a large green "capacitor" of some type had shook loose and dropped down inside the black plastic shroud covering the fuse/circuit breaker area. I unscrewed everything, got the green "capacitor", plugged it back in, and everything worked perfectly again.
Not sure what your set up looks like but try looking for any open ports to see if anything shook loose.
Good luck,
Ty

Checked battery 13.67 volts, have power back to motor, no power from motor to switch inside. Bad switch??? Have tried jumper wires at switch still don't work. I've have looked through the coroplast and see no disconnected wires.
Need help figuring this out have trip to beach planned in 3 weeks.

Hi Mike,
I am confused about what you have tried. I think you said you have power at the motor, "have power back to motor". But, no power at the switch, " no power from motor to switch". Huh? Power goes from the switch to the motor.
Is this a electric slide or hydraulic?
Sorry, I speak west Tennessee.

Could I have a bad switch? It's a electric slide.

Could be, but you said you tried jumpering it. If the motor will not run jumpered, it could be the motor.
You have to use two jumpers. One for the positive side and one for the negative side. The switch reverses the polarity to the motor, so it switches both sides.

PS: Here is the Lippert Manual. There is a troubleshooting section for the Motor on Page 18.

Slide fixed. Turned out o be corroded connections on the breakers near battery, went ahead and replaced them both with new ones . Works fine now.
