LED 'Eyebrow' Lights - Melting?

For lack of a better term, the three 12v eyebrow lights on the cap of my 2020 TT appear to be melting. The strips are misshapen and oozing a sticky, sap-like product that is extremely hard to clean off the cap. I initially thought it was whatever adhesive holds the lights in place, but you can also see the strips themselves are a bit worse for wear....like its eroding away. Unfortunately, I neglected to take a pic prior to returning the trailer to storage.

I don't really use these things but I'd like to replace them as I'm not happy with the gunk getting all over the cap.

Do these just peel off?
Are the 3 individual lights wired together somehow (one switch controls them all)?
Any links to an appropriate replacement?

Thanks!

Mine haven't messed up but I've seen some that were. Most I saw were starting to fall off though. I think they are just held on with adhesive (the strips I've installed [not front cap] had that on them). Here's a link that might help. Has lighting options plus instructions on installation and removal;
