Furnace blower

We have a 2007 Laredo fifth wheel. This trip, when our AC comes on so does the furnace blower. No heat just fan. In a few minutes the fan will kick off, but immediately kick back on. It may do this 6 times in 10 minutes. Any one have any ideas? We're thinking new thermostat is needed because of possible wiring problem.

Welcome to the forum

What brand/model thermostat do you have? It could also be the control board in the A/C.

Usually in auto mode, that isn’t an issue. Given the age, I suspect your control board or thermostat might be due for an update

I would probably change the thermostat first since it’s cheaper. When you look for a new thermostat remember that RV’s use 12VDC not 24 like most residential.

well you might give a Hunter a shot. Not sure where I found a post about using one as a replacement for the OEM, but it has been in our rig for about eight years. Works great with our Suburban Furnace and Coleman AC unit.

New A/C was installed in 2017, the year before we bought this camper.
