Longer Medicine Cabinets or Doors?
Our medicine cabinet is all-wood, with no top surface, mounted up against the ceiling (photos). That's great for me (6'6"), but DW (5'2") is perpetually burned that she can't even see herself in the mirror to do her hair.
Rather than move the cabinet down (which would probably lose me in the mirror, plus I'd have to add a top surface, and hope they didn't Liquid Nail it to the wall), I considered just getting an oversize mirror door and letting the extra hang underneath the box. There's plenty of space between the bottom of the cabinet and the sink. I could add 6", maybe 10" to the bottom without interfering with tooth brushing, etc.
I went to Trekwood looking to see if maybe Keystone made some longer doors in something approximating my style. I couldn't even find the cabinet I have now. All they show is prefab plastic boxes with a mirrored wood door [ LINK].
I went online looking for taller cabinet doors, or even taller cabinets, but most of the sites wasted my time offering everything but the specifics I asked for.
Does anyone know of available RV medicine cabinets or doors running around 18" x 26-30"?

I'll bet a finish wood worker or cabinet shop could fix you up with a custom replacement door at a price that might surprise you. We had some custom mirrors with frames installed in our home and the price was very reasonable.

You would probably have better luck ordering some seam tape that matches and build your own. You might be suprised how wide you can get.

I don't understand this comment at all. It sounds like you responded in the wrong thread to an upholstery post. What does wide seam tape have to do with cabinets, doors, or mirrors?

You could get some wood, build a longer cabinet and use seam tape to make it the same color and grain.

I just bought an inexpensive full length mirror and mounted on the bathroom door.
Worked very well for DW.

I agree with this plan. Take the door to a cabinet maker and tell them what size you want and that the hinge and latch locations need to remain where they are for re- mounting. You could even get a box shelf made that would attach to the bottom of the existing cabinet to give to some additional storeage space.

My bride is 5 feet tall and loves the medicine cabinet in our bathroom. She can easily see herself, and it goes all the way to the ceiling. I'm only a mere 6'4" but can appreciate the desire to be able to see in the mirror without stooping too much.
The only potential issue I can see is the cabinet assembly includes two puck lights, but that might even be more desirable for you.
Now all you have to do is locate a source!
Approximate dimensions:
24" wide
30.75" tall
7.5" deep including door but not handle
bottom edge of mirror is about 27" from ceiling

I’d build a longer door and mount a shelf on the inside of the door with cutouts to be used for a toothbrush holder/cup, maybe hair brush, razor etc.
