Replacement of vents with maxair vents

I recently purchased a 2018 passport 3220bh . It has three vents with the bathroom being the only one that is a fan . The vent in the Living room and the vent in the bunkhouse I would like to replace with Max air fans how would one go about doing that ?

Welcome to the forum

Since all the vents are 14”X14” standard, you simply remove the existing one and install the new one. Since 2 probably are not powered, you’ll need to find 12V and route the wiring to the fan.

You’ll have to remove the Dicor sealant to expose the screws holding the vent on the roof, and you will have to apply new butyl/putty tape to the bottom surface and new Dicor self leveling on the top.

Looking for power- could come from a light switch, just try to make sure the fan is on the “hot” side of the switch so you don’t have to have a light on for the fan to work.

Were the vents pre-wired?

Did you add these vents?

If so - did you find the vents were pre-wired, or did you need to run a wire?

As a rule, if there isn’t a powered fan already then it isn’t prewired.
