2021 Cougar 24RDS Toilet upgrade?

I would like to replace the Dometic 310 with an elongated bowl Dometic 320 in my 24RDS. The issue is the rear of the 320 extends back an additional 1 inch.

What I am considering is removing the old 310 and flange and installing an offset flange that would move the toilet 1 inch out further from the wall.

My big issue as I see it is removing the old flange and connecting to the existing black pipe. As I understand it the black stuff is different from standard PVC? The things we are willing to do for comfort, lol.

Can't imagine you don't have an extra inch behind the 310 toilet, but if not, you should be able to adjust the plumbing. The black pipe is ABS, and uses ABS glue to connect the parts. This glue is NOT the same as PVC, and the two pipe materials and the glues are not interchangeable.
ABS-Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
PVC-Polyvinyl Chloride

Bobbecky, believe it or not the 310 is nearly on the wall, I imagine there's only about 1/8" space. The 320 is a full 1" deeper in the rear. I think the 1" offset will do me just fine. I think the biggest challenge will be getting the black abs pipe. Let me ask this question, so if it black its definitely ABS right? I'm hoping Lowe's might have the pieces I need. Thanks for your reply.

I am pretty sure ACE hardware carries black ABS and the correct glue. This has been discussed a number of time; you will need a toilet offset. Make sure you are able to measure the ABS coming up off your tank as I am not a plumber and not sure if all of them are a standard size. Hopefully the water line feed is long enough to move the needed amount; I suggest you install a cut off valve when the old toilet is out (harder to do when looking into the bowl ). Take a look at this video:

Oh yeah, do yourself a favor and get the tall 320. Much more comfortable than the lower model.
