12V power

I have a 2022 Montana HC. When I’m plugged into 110V with the shoreline everything works. If I’m not plugged in, I get nothing on 12V. Anything that works off of 12V doesn’t work. What could be the problem?

Have you got a battery disconnect switch in the convenience center? See if it's not off. On a 22 I doubt the batteries are toast but you need to check them. What's the water level?

If you have a battery disconnect it’s in the wrong position. If you don’t have one, then start by testing the battery for 12V. If it’s good then follow the positive lead looking for any resettable circuit breakers.

If your battery is dead, then we need to test the converter output.

Check the Brock Box which is most likely mounted just above and behind your battery box.

So, ALL 12v systems are working when plugged in to shore power, but not when unplugged? That sounds like batteries to me. If the 12v disconnect were in the off position then many 12v systems wouldn't work plugged in or not.

Since the converter supplies 12V power to the fuse panel and charges the battery, being plugged into shore power will “energize” the converter and it will power the 12V stuff. Won’t charge the battery and shouldn’t be the only power source to operate slides.

I also have a 2022 Montana HC and if I am connected to shore power all my systems work even if I have the 12V disconnect in the off position. The issue sounds like a battery issue.

As mentioned, check the batteries. I once had a customer call me after a sale and they couldn’t get the generator started on their brand new Fuzion. The tech that installed the battery never connected the battery cable. Why they didn’t check the gen during orientation also baffled me. A bigger concern, if your batteries are not working or not connected properly, your break away will also not work since the on board battery is also what powers the brakes if the trailer comes disconnected.
