Sealant/Epoxy filler?

Hi Folks,

The screws holding the awning to the side of the fiberglass wall have stripped out alone one side of the awning. I have tried the next size screws, the originals appeared to be #8 sheet metal and I put in #10's but they are still spinning in the wall. Is there an epoxy or a sealant that I can inject in the holes to fill the cavity and give the screws something to bite on again? I tried the Gorilla glue epoxy and I'm not sure if that will do the trick. It's a small area but it has let in enough water to cause a small amount of delamination to start which is really bothering me.

Thank you for any help,

Tom

We use bamboo skewers. You can use a caulking gun and fill the hole with sealant before putting the screw back in.
