Slide topper tension

I bought a 2017 FW equipped with slide topper. The topper fibric is loose and hold a good amount of water after rain.

Is that normal, if not can the tension be adjusted.

Thanks.

It can be adjusted, depend on brand as to how you do it.

The slope will have more effect than tension. Some are mounted near flat when the slide is extended.
All slides toppers will hold water under a heavy downpour Crank up the tension too jiyh and you'll start pulling seams apart or even pull screws out of the fixture.
