315rls refrigerator/kitchen Island

Good morning I’m not sure what happened at the factory but my refrigerator hits the island when the slide is closed. I have to open the kitchen wall slide about an inch in order to open the refrigerator when stopped at a rest stop.
Either the island was screwed down in wrong spot or countertop was in the wrong spot.im hesitant to have dealer fix this issue because it may cause plumbing issues or make the island not as stable having to drill more holes just to mover over an inch.
I hate to do it but it looks like I could trim or Dremel about an 1/8” a small portion of counter where the door hits And sand and polish to try and make smooth again. (The angle of attack the door takes as it’s opened hits a spot maybe 1.5 inches on an angle about 1/16 to 1/8 deep)
I here it’s not advisable to open slide a little and then close again without cycling all the way open. I also don’t want to forget to close if I’m traveling
Has anyone experienced this ?

Many of the trailers are configured without fridge access while the slides are closed.. On my 313RS with the residential fridge I could probable open the door enough to stick my hand through the crack if I needed to..

Not a big deal, we just put a few drinks in a chest if we're on a longer trip and go.. The DW is just glad we can reach the toilet without having to open a slide..
