Dometic 310 Toilet Foot Pedal Leak

Hope you can help me with this. We have a 2018 Cougar 359mbi and just arrived in St. Pete, FL area for our 2nd winter. The RV stayed here all summer after we headed north last April. We just noticed that the toilet has a water leak. The water is appearing on the floor, but it's actually 'pouring' out from the foot pedal. I put pouring in quotes because it's not a torrent, but it's definitely not just a drip.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Thanks!

My bet is the valve mentioned in toilet trouble post that was started several days ago. Have you got down into the floor and really seen the place water is coming from?
I have no advice on the peddle, just make sure it is not the water line connections and valve before looking further. The connection is behind the toilet and hard to see until you kneel or lay on floor. A mirror might help.

The (inexpensive and easily replaced) intake valve is a known failure point for freeze damage, if that is a possibility, though I would think that leaving the rig in Florida from April to November wouldn't encounter that.

Water dripping from the pedal may be originating somewhere else. In our case, it was simply the female PEX connector that needed hand-tightening.

Well, the problem worked itself out before I got back on the floor to check it out further. I had seen some posts that indicated depressing the flush pedal repeatedly would clean off some type of 'sediment' that can build up - I suspect that's what happened because we had been using it and it just stopped leaking. Now, onto our electrical problems!

I'd suggest monitoring that closely. I can understand a valve not closing due to derbies but that "leak" would be inside the fixture. While it may be possible I personally have never seen a true water leak heal itself.

If it was this thread, it was that depressing the flush pedal right after a road trip would immediately suck water heater sediment into the valve, blocking toilet operation completely. Trust me, that problem doesn't doesn't get better.

It wasn't that thread, LHaven, but it just leaked again. It is VERY intermittent (days apart), so it is something I will pursue. I think my best bet is to call Dometic as Trucker Lou suggested in that other thread ("if you have dometic toilet they have a 2 year warranty and good customer service.---1-800-321-9886"). Our toilet is less than 2 years old. Thank you everyone for your advice. If I learn anything interesting, I'll post it here.

We started having a similar issue on Labor Day weekend. Our niece was staying with us (she had never been camping) and while the kids were fooling around a water bottle spilled. I soaked up the water, but the next morning I saw water around the base of the toilet and figured I missed some (I could swear it never got that far, but there it was). Soaked it up, and put it out of my mind. That night, more water appeared. I checked the water line and fitting and all was dry. No issues the rest of the weekend. Our next trip out, water appears again. Everything still feels dry. Scratching my head. We ran out of season and time and warm weather before I could diagnose the issue, but I theorize that our niece really stomped the pedal and cracked a seal on the shaft and somehow water is following the Shaft and then dripping down to the floor. The camper is in storage for the winter so I will have to wait until spring, but I am going to start at the pedal and work from there
