Mounting cabinet in bathroom

I have recently purchased a 2015 Keystone Bullet 272BHS and want to attach a cabinet above the toilet. Hopefully, I can find a fairly light cabinet. Are there studs available behind the interior wall which can be used to attach.

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find that studs on interior walls are few and far between. Any that you do find will be wood 2x2. As flexible as the walls are (1/8 in. luan) you should be able to locate the studs by just pushing in on the wall to find a solid area being careful to avoid pocket doors if they are used in your model. If you don't feel safe using just hollow-wall anchors you can run wood strips that match your cabinet horizontally from corner to corner where there will be studs and than mount to those strips. The method you choose will depend on the size and weight of the cabinet and what you intend to store in it. Good luck with your project .... hopefully someone with a similar model can give you more advice, Hank

I had a cabinet made for a Cougar we used to own, the toilet area was in a corner, I mounted the cabinet in the corner and screwed the cabinet to the wall up high where the ceiling and the wall meet, also in the corner this is where I knew for sure there was solid wood, after loading it with towels etc. was solid and never had a problem coming loose...

I mounted an IKEA vanity cabinet in our bathroom just above the toilet a couple of years ago. It's still on the wall and I used the mounting hardware that came in the IKEA package. I can't remember if I found a stud or not.

We purchased a wall cabinet to match the bedroom cabinet from Keystone for our bathroom and it works great.

Mounting cabinet in bathroom

I mounted a custom cabinet I made above our toilet last year before we made a 7,000 mile trip on very rough roads to the east coast. It was secure and did not have to be tightened when we returned. I estimate it weighs about 25 lbs loaded with toilet paper and toiletries.

Here are pictures in my album: http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/album.php?albumid=708

I used a stud finder and did find a narrow stud. I drilled very small holes that would be covered by the cabinet to better define the edges of the stud. Also as others have said, there is a "header" at the top of the wall just below the ceiling and a stud in the corner of the walls where they meet. I used expanding hollow wall anchors on the side next to the shower where I did not have a stud.

Mounted one we bought at HD. Measured the size we needed and found almost exactly what we needed.......screwed in into the corners where the side and back walls meet. I hung on it and it is solid. Cost was about 45 bucks...has a shelf on the bottom and double doors on the top half.
