Shower Maintenance

I have a 2014 Bullet Premier 19FBR. I recently noticed that there is no calking between the top of the tub and the shower walls. It does not appear to me that there has ever been calking in that location. My question is, should that seem between the tub and the shower wall be calked?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

They are all like that. The design is the tub itself goes up the wall behind the shower wall so the water will not leak. Not sure the exact reason for the design but might be for movement or the like.

X2- there is a lip that extends upward in the shower pan/tub structure. This should prevent water from leaking into walls. Nothing says you can't run a bead of caulk there, but I never have and have never had leaking problems.

Thanks guys for the information. I was not sure how the tube/showers are constructed. I will leave well enough along.
Thanks Again.

I would leave it as if it's sealed up you'll find that it'll bulge out when you take a shower. As the walls get hot and cold they'll sweat and that moisture and air needs to go somewhere.
I've left mine alone, I live in the trailer and I've had no problems.
