I put up a permanent mount DISH Pro - Smart Multi-Satellite RV Antenna SK2DISH and use my home receiver’s and dvr. No second subscription and you can continue to watch your dvr program’s on the road.
Yes, I bought two receivers and a Dish Tailgater Pro from a guy that was selling his trailer for 150 dollars. I use the second receiver outside in order to watch sports, I have used them for the last 3 years and must be lucky because I have had very few problems watching both at the same time on different channels. If I am near a lot of tree's I place the dish on a tripod or on my slide out depending on sky view.

I posted the following on another RV forum a few years ago. BTW, I have since then combined both cables successfully (73' total) on more than one occasion with good results.

----snip----
I have a Winegard Pathway X2 and DISH Wally receiver. The documentation that came with my hardware indicates a maximum total length of 50 feet between the dish and the receiver. If you are using any wiring in the RV itself don't forget to include that. I purchased a 35' length of good quality RG6 to connect the dish to the "sat prep" port in the convenience center, there's 10 feet of coax (that I installed myself) going from the sat prep port to the coax outlet in my entertainment center, and I use a 3 foot piece from the wall outlet to the receiver itself, so 48 feet total. I've never had a problem. I've heard people say they've gone longer than that without issue. This weekend I may try using both the 35 footer, and the 25 foot cable that came with the equipment (a grand total of 73 feet) just to see if it works.

I've been using cable from Phat Satellite (purchased through Amazon) with pretty good results; they have waterproof tips, pretty much any length you want, and very reasonable price.

Putting a couple pieces of RG6 together introduce line loss via the barrel connector. I used a 75' RG6 and while there was a tad of a delay getting signals to/from my Playmaker to Wally it worked fine. I had several other lengths of coax as well that were used when the pedestal/dish had to be located away from my camper due obstruction. After the 75' run I had a bulkhead passthrough connector and a 2' RG6 to connect to my Wally. My understanding is that the Wally pushes less power to the dish than more expensive receivers so you may be OK. Good luck.

most of the time the 35' cable is all I need, if combining both was something I had to do often, I'd get a 60-75' piece, but so far it hasn't been necessary.

I have sold the DishTV playmaker and wally set up and now stream via Roku. I had to use the longer RG6 several times as we camp at a favorite campground which is very small and big trees when you face south. It was necessary to place the Playmaker that far away from the camper to get clear southern sky.

So, you may find that the "automatic aiming" won't work properly. It's not just Playmaker, but any satellite receiver that uses DC power through the coax cable to provide power to the motors in the dish package.

If I remember correctly (somebody give the correct information if I'm wrong) the maximum distance for the coax run for the Playmaker to work properly is 25'.... I may be "not remembering correctly" but there is a short run distance that KEYTV will power the system, but not the full stated 75'......
I like my Direct TV service that I use with a remote ground located dish on a 75' cable mainly because Direct TV is no additional charge for me since I have Direct TV at our house. Direct TV with it's dual co-ax to the dish allows us to watch one show and record another show at the same time. We don't have to stream shows because our Direct TV is just like we have at home. Record, backup and rewatch, start over at the beginning all the while recording another of our fave shows. Best part is that tv for us while camping is FREE! Our set up is powered by its own power supply. Our KeyTV is not even connected to anything.
