This provides more than the "solar ready" trailers "prior to" solar flex. The highlighted is the one additional purchase you would have to make.
To install you would:
1. fish the wiring harness from the batteries to the place you would install the controller.
2. fish the solar side wiring harness from the roof to the and interior location (or I guess you could coil and use with portable/non controller panels).
3. mount the solar controller and connect the 4 terminal ends to the controller from #1&2
4. Purchase and mount
"up to" 500-550W of panels (the wire harness will support the realized amps)
5. plug the panels into the roof port
6. connect the battery side of the battery harness.
Depending on the panels, the above will provide 12V to run the RV. Then you can expand this for an inverter or expand the "battery reservoir" with additional batteries.
