A powerful testimony to man and nature

First let me say after 4 days a hot shower feels so good

Not everyone has power, from, 80k we are down to hundreds now that don't.
Thank you, Canada, who sent down crews to help us, working through the cold and rain, 24/7 alongside our crews, AWESOME!

These pictures are of my immediate area, a very small segment when you consider the island is 70 miles long.

I have not been more than a few miles away from my house, nor even up to the main highway, nor have I seen the damage to buildings, etc.

Folks really pulled together, this is what folks do, when we all have the same goals.

Yeah, this may have been the most damage and power outages I've seen from a wind event that was this (relatively) short. As of right now we still don't have power in Port Susan and today was the 1st day we saw any PUD crews working to restore. Thanks also to Canada!

Hoping you get restored soon, hang in there buddy.

Yeah I was a bit surprised by the damage too, I'm thinking the wind speeds were more than forecast, or it had lots of microbursts....which makes sense because it dissipated rather quickly as it got further inland.

And in other news.....We saw power crews heading south today in Kentucky and Tennessee to Florida for the incoming storm on the Atlantic coast. Not sure what state(s) they were from but I know the Florida residents are grateful. Hopefully it doesn't turn into a major storm. We haven't heard much about this one but then, politics seem to be getting all the publicity these days.... Pretty crazy to have a winter blizzard on the left coast and a (possible) hurricane on the right at the same time.....
