Recall affecting footpads on Equalizer Hyd Leveling System
Recall info affecting the footpads on the following models for the EQUALIZER HYDRAULIC LEVELING SYSTEM ( ONLY )
.. Keystone Alpine - 2021-2023
.. Keystone Avalanche - 2021-2023
.. Keystone Fuzion - 2020-2023
.. Keystone Impact - 2023

I can tell you my opinion.. Lippert six point hydraulic leveling system blows away the Equalizer hydraulic system installed in the Newer Alpine models.
Why?
Lippert provides excellent user PDF files for their systems that accurately reflects the system installed in my 2014 Alpine
Lippert replacement parts..if needed are readily available .. at a cost
Conversely the Equalizer Hydrauilc system installed in newer Alpines has NO definitive accurate documentation to reflect what is installed, how it interfaces in the unit and how the In Command interfaces with the hydraulic slides
Keystone states they have NO info to provide because the system was installed by someone other than Keystone or Equalizer Systems .. Equalizer systems states they don’t know how it’s installed in the Alpine “They just sold the system to Keystone”
..and yes.. I have emails from both that state exactly what I am posting

thanks,i’m looking at different fifth wheels right now and trying to see if it makes sense to sell mine and upgrade or just keep what we have for a few more years.
on another note i thought if you had hydraulic slides then all the slides were hyd…didnt realize you may also end up with a schwintek slide as well

On older models like my 2013, all slides are hydraulic. On newer models, they are using Schwintek on smaller slides on different levels such as the bedroom slide. It’s just easier for them to install IMO. Running hydraulic lines to the different levels of a 5th wheel and then having to install the mechanisms takes space. My unserved storage is only about 6” deep, the hydraulic slide equipment is below the Faldo floor.

We once lost a footpad from the Alpine in our signature, which has the Lippert 6-point autolevel system. Had to order a new one from Lippert. I installed it using the procedure outlined in the Lippert manual: use thread locker compound on the bolt, and torque it to 132 lb/ft. I also checked the remaining jacks and performed the same procedure.
I did use blue threadlocker, though, to facilitate removal of the footpad if necessary.

Great, you just added another must check item to my list. Never gave them a second thought before.
