Until some enterprising thief backs up, hooks on and drags the trailer and whatever is on it right out through the door causing extensive structural damage lol

Wouldn’t it funnier if that’s a “decoy” hitch? Anchored inside, thief backs up, hitches on and in a hurry to leave the scene rips his back end off?
For years we we a decoy porch for porch pirates.

I’m imagining the wife looking like this when she saw the garage door

Reminds me of the guy with a white truck that lived outside town on a road I drive quite often. His garage was too short for his F-150. So, whenever he was home, the truck was parked in the garage and he would lower the garage door to just on top of the truck bed with about the last 8”-12” of the truck sticking out.

Hope the local mouse community at least sent him a thank-you card!
We once renovated a house where the guy tried to turn his carport into a garage. The carport had a slanted roof with beams down the slant. After he had it enclosed and the door opening framed, he tried installing garage door hardware, and only then discovered the door needed clearance above the opening height to roll back. So he notched half the beam on the low side to let the door pass through it. Then he had to notch the next beam. When it came time to notch the fluorescent light fixture, he gave up and never installed the door.
(We installed a powered roll-up door, like storage units use, and had the damaged beams sistered.)

That looks like a boat trailer. I wonder what kind of boat he has. I wonder if that is a non-attached garage or a large utility shed? The "garage door" style does not fit a conventional house garage.
I bet this is located in an HOA and this was the best way he could "hide" his boat. I can't imagine anyone doing this to a garage door on a house.

Yep, looks like a boat trailer, note the surge brake at the front of the tongue.

Interesting observation since we live in different areas of the country. I assumed it was a house based off the 2’ concrete apron, flowers in a pot by the door, and the door itself. Building, to me, looks like a 10’ tall garage door on a house on the gable end, or maybe with a second floor over. The brackets on this door we see used quite often in MN when someone wants to “fancy up” their 1980’s or 1990’s house. But, MN is a little strange for what goes here.

I believe it is an 8x8 or 8x10 (3-18’s and 2-21’s) located on the left end of a house. Generally not facing the street. Just thinking out loud.

can’t be that big of a boat and the trailer looks a little dated..i think i’d look at adding a folding tongue for the trailer..wouldn’t want one for a large boat but a small center console or skiff i use it…maybe with the surge brakes it’s not possible because of brake lines

I talked to a customer last week and complained that it was 90F and I needed to get started on cutting the weeds. He told me he needed to cut things short and get home as he was in the middle of snow storm. The customer was a strange fellow as he had a Dallas phone number and told me that when he retired (from Texas) he wanted to head back to Minnesota as he missed the winter and four seasons. Yuck.
