RV Show review
Just came back from the local RV show. Here are my take-aways...
1) Seems like many of the toy haulers are now coming with Goodyear Endurance tires. No more Trailer King tires.
2) There are still many poor designs. See pics. One such was a mfg that made an open bed design, but the window was so low in the toy area, and had a curtain that stuck out about 4". I can see the first time someone drove their UTV into the trailer and ripping off the curtains with the tires.
3) Out of the hundred or so of toy haulers at the show, by far the best was the brand new Grand Design 2023 Momentum 315G (sorry keystone). That was by far the best designed toy hauler I have seen at the RV show since I bought my 2018 Carbon 349. If I was in the market again for a toy hauler (Open design as well) I would definitely go for this one. A little pricy at $89k (show price I was told). Has up to 19'4" garage, and only 36' long. And only Tandem axles
4) Many more builders of toy haulers are now starting to do open-bed designs again. Maybe they are finally starting to hear from people that a 46' toy hauler is way to big for many to tow and get into places.
5) Even one of the salesman asked me what I had, and I told him mine was a 2018 Carbon, then he whispered to me and said "everything 2018 and earlier was better build than the ones now". Funny coming from one of the salesman there. Maybe the only honest one there. haha.
