Bumpy walls

Hey guys, got a question. In the double bunk area of our camper we’ve noticed what honestly looks like a group of zits on the wall in about a 16”x16” area.

They are hard to the touch, and seem to be coming from “behind” the thin wall paper material. Almost like the bumps on a novelty gourd that you get when you’re picking out your pumpkins in the fall.

Wasn’t easy, but I picked one off and it was black underneath, like possible mold. But no signs of moisture otherwise, or water damage. I wish I knew how to add pictures from my phone, but alas, I don’t.

Any ideas or has anyone experienced this before?

2019 Keystone Bullet purchased new by us.

Thanks in advance.

I know this is a couple months old and we found water leaking from the roof of the slideout, went out when there was a lite rain and found the water was getting in on the edge of the eternabond tape, it looked ok. I pulled the couch out and found it had pooled at the outside rear corner of the slideout. Will do some demo work to see all whats needed and have new roofing ordered.

The bumpy walls are definitely mold growing from water damage. I put on ppe and removed the paneling from my slideout last night. I already had removed all the furniture and the process took about four hours. I found mold not only where the bumps were but also behind spots that did not show bumps. My new roofing arrived so when the weather settles down I will et back at it. The hardest part was using a scraper to get the back paneling off that is glued to the foam. Oddly enough the dry paneling came off much easier than the paneling that was compromised by moisture.

Bummer water and rv's not a good combo. Glad you caught it fairly early!
