Finally got the running boards on the new 3500 today. First trip pulling the 5er will be next week.

Thanks. It's got the Granite Crystal Metalic paint. The same color my 2020 2500 had. I love it.

I'm a Ford guy but I test drove a 2021 Ram 3500 before purchasing my F250 6.7L and I will say the High Output Cummins was very smooth. I just couldn't get used to the manual tow mirror setup...
I suspect that if the asking price was in my budget at the time I would have had no problems owning said rig.
All the new diesels are so close to each other....Nice Truck> Enjoy!

what's wrong with the Reese Sidewinder hitch in this case?

The interior bed width is too narrow to clear the 5th wheel pin box regardless of where it swivels. Moving the swivel back a few inches to a foot won't make much difference.

There are many who tow 5th wheels with Ram boxes that is why is still don’t understand the issue. The Reese sidewinder solves the problem of both being a short bed and also narrow bed due to ramboxes…here is the first link i find which shows an example of how it works.

Returned yesterday from my first trip with the 3500. Got to say I love the air suspension. Being able to lower and raise the bed is amazing for hook up and disconnecting. Had my doubts about the Mega cab, but after the trip it is growing on me. There is a ton of room back there after the rear seats are folded down.

The ride is SO much better also, especially compared to the 2500 I had previously. Overall I am really pleased with the new truck.

is this good ?

Looking for one of these myself - I only see one listed for sale in the area where I live. $82 grand tho - isn't that overpriced?
https://www.copilotsearch.com/used-2...-francisco-ca/

I mean, this is more of a dream truck for me, but I would prefer to have a few to choose from to see whether I am getting ripped off on the price or not.

thanks-

Any vehicle is only worth what the seller can get from a buyer. That said, the vehicle you are looking at is a "used vehicle" with 295 miles on it. Essentially it's "new" but there is a history behind why it is being sold again so soon... Might not be important, but might be a significant factor in whether to buy it or not....

All that said, here is the original window sticker for the VIN. It listed at $77,820 as a new vehicle, and no doubt there were some buyer incentives to lower that price as well as dealer negotiations to further reduce the purchase price.....

If you go to the dealer website they list the "market value" (not vehicle price) at $89,950 (12,120 over sticker) with a $7,995 discount, still $4135 more than the original sticker MSRP..... https://www.sacsuperstore.com/certif...685a7cb3fe.htm

Someone would really, REALLY want that truck to pay that kind of price for a used vehicle, even one with "only 295 miles"..... YMMV
