Table Mod

I have a Outback 320BH which we've taken on our third trip so far... My table is a pain, the feature is I can move it outside but everyone scrapes their legs getting in and out around the U shaped dinette unit. The dinette and table are part of the slide, though the table can be moved. I'm looking to replace the movable table with a permanent two post rounded leg. Looking for any thoughts on table mods which would be part of the slide.

I like what your thinking

I have a 2013 Outback 312bh and although I love the look of the table, I bang my knees constantly on the leg system.

It seems you could do a one or two post system that still could be pulled out in the event you wanted to use the bed. I think you would gain a ton of knee room.

You figure anything out???

Ty

I don't know what kind of budget you are working with, but movable, center pedestal, hi lo tables are common place in the marine industry. They tend to be a bit pricey, but by looking, it may spark another thought or option in your mind, such as finding the center pedestal and using you own existing top as to still convert your dinette to a berth.

You might want to take a look at some of the RV salvage companies on-line. If you do install pedestals be sure to use the correct length screws. (Slide floor is only ˝" thick.)

table posts

you can buy the posts and mounts from the dealer and convert your top. Thinking they are like $65 a set.

With the Bullet Premier, some models came with the table you described and some came with the pedestal legs. Fortunately mine came with the pedestals. I do know that some of the Premier owners switched the table to the pedestal type because they didn't like the table you have.

I beat my knees on those legs constantly. It drives me nuts. So I think I'll convert mine as well.

We also have the Outback 320bh and I know what you mean about the table, but we have found that turning the tables brackets in toward the back of the booth helps quite a bit. Just my 2 cents worth.
